Event Details
Operation Sana '95 was the largest offensive operation of the Army of RBiH in the entire war. It was launched on 13 September 1995, just one week after the breaking of the Bihać Pocket siege. In just 30 days, the 5th Corps liberated Bosanski Petrovac, Ključ (16 September), Bosanska Krupa (17 September) and Sanski Most (10 October). By linking up with the 7th Corps near Sanski Most, continuity of free territory of Bosnia and Herzegovina was established. During this operation, the 5th Corps captured huge quantities of weaponry: 3 M-84 tanks, 6 T-55A tanks, 28 cannons and howitzers, 21 anti-tank guns, 4 self-propelled howitzers, 2 M-80 APCs, and huge quantities of infantry weapons and ammunition. This was the largest war booty of the Army of RBiH.
