Event Details
Operation Spider was a joint counter-offensive of the Army of Republika Srpska (VRS), the Serbian Army of Krajina (SVK) and the restored AP Western Bosnia against the 5th Corps. It was launched in November 1994, just months after the 5th Corps liberated Velika Kladuša in Operation Tiger '94. With support from Serbian special units, APZB forces regained control of Velika Kladuša by 17 December 1994. This was one of the hardest periods for the 5th Corps, which had to fight on multiple fronts simultaneously — against the VRS, SVK and Abdić's forces.
