Event Details
Operation Tiger '94 is one of the most famous actions of the 5th Corps. In August 1994, the commander of the 502nd Brigade, Hamdija Abdić 'Tigar', with the approval of commander Dudaković, pretended to defect to Fikret Abdić. He lured Abdić's forces into a trap, leading to the liberation of Velika Kladuša on 21 August 1994 and the temporary fall of AP Western Bosnia. This operation demonstrated exceptional ingenuity and courage of the 5th Corps commanders. Although AP Western Bosnia was restored in December 1994 with the help of the VRS and SVK, Operation Tiger '94 remains one of the brightest moments in the history of the 5th Corps.
