History is not just the past — it is the foundation of our future.
The 5th Corps of the Army of RBiH was the People’s Force — an army that fought for survival, freedom and the integrity of Bosnia and Herzegovina. This site is dedicated to preserving the truth about the people, brigades, operations and battles that shaped the period 1992–1995.
We do not seek political statements or symbolic allegiances. We seek people who understand that preserving historical truth is a universal value — regardless of nation, faith or political orientation.
Anyone can be a Guardian of Memory.
1. Knowledge — share what you know
Do you have photographs, documents, letters, video recordings or personal testimonies related to the 5th Corps? Your memories can help keep history alive.
Why? Because without testimonies, history becomes mere dry chronology. Your story is invaluable.
Everything you share will be processed with respect. Sources are credited with your permission, and anonymity is guaranteed if desired.
2. Voice — spread the word
The simplest yet most powerful form of support: share the site. Send the link to friends, post on social media, mention it in your community.
Why? Memory lives only when shared. Every visitor, every shared link, every mention — is a step toward ensuring the 5th Corps is not forgotten.
3. Skill — help with your talent
Every skill can contribute:
- Translation — the site is available in BS/EN/DE; help maintain and improve translations
- Research — historians, journalists, academics: we are open to collaboration on research projects and publications
- Technical support — designers, developers: the project uses Hugo SSG, Tailwind CSS and vanilla JS
- Material processing — photo restoration, document digitization, video editing
Why? Your talent can make history more accessible, beautiful and truthful.
4. Resources — financial support
The project is currently self-funded. If you wish to help cover costs:
- Hosting and domain
- Archival documentation acquisition
- Development of new features
Why? Your donation ensures the site remains free, accessible and independent. No ads, no sponsors, no hidden agendas.
5. Partnership — together we are stronger
For institutions, museums, associations, media and educational organizations: we are open to partnership and collaboration.
- Joint research projects
- Exchange of archival materials
- Promotion and media support
- Educational programs for youth
Why? Alone we can preserve a story. Together we can preserve history.
