About the City
Cazin was one of the key cities of the Bihać Pocket that remained under ARBiH control throughout the war, despite being completely surrounded. The city was the scene of fierce fighting, especially during confrontations with the AP Western Bosnia forces. The 505th Knightly Motorized Brigade under the command of Izet Nanić defended Cazin and surrounding areas, carrying out successful counter-offensives.
