Biography
Born on 2 December 1954 in Orahova near Bosanska Gradiška. He graduated from the Military Academy in Belgrade in 1976. In April 1992 he came to Bihać and joined the Army of RBiH. He first commanded the 502nd Brigade, and on 1 November 1993 took command of the entire 5th Corps. Under his leadership, the corps successfully defended the Bihać Pocket and carried out Operations Tiger '94 and Sana '95, leading to the liberation of Ključ, Sanski Most, Bosanski Petrovac and Bosanska Krupa. After the war he was commander of the Joint Command of the Army of the Federation of BiH. In 2018 he was indicted for war crimes — the proceedings are ongoing.
