About the City
Ključ was liberated on 14 September 1995, one day after Bosanski Petrovac. The fall of Ključ was strategically significant as it cut enemy communication lines and enabled the 5th Corps to advance further toward Sanski Most. The 501st Glorious Mountain Brigade under the command of Senad Šarganović carried out the decisive attack, breaking the resistance of enemy forces that had held the city since 1992.
